Anti aging and us

Hello everyone. It is great to see you all.
For both women and men, living in Japan in the 21st century involves factors you never expect,
Especially for women, climacteric age is one of them.
"Anti aging" means anti oxidation and prevention of aging, so this is related to you until you die. In late years, the word has been used more often in Japan, in science field, and cosmetic and supplement industry.
Not only the word itself, but it is important to gain wisdom and knowledge about anti aging. This is what I am going to talk about today, It is easier to make it sound more complicated, but being able to understand is more important than anything, so this time it will be very straightforward.
A data shows that 50.5 years old is the main age in climacteric period. A kind of female hormone called "estrogen" starts decreasing rapidly from late 40s. The number of eggs coming out of ovarian hormone also decreases at the same time. In about 10 years from the age of 45 to 55 or 60, every woman experiences this, and many of them have suffered, as they were not so well informed. Event though the information is more widely disclosed, it is often limited to encouragement to go see gynecologist.
Climacteric age is familiar matter for us, but surprisingly there are not so much scientific study based on mathematical data. They are usually not mass data with 100 or 500 subjects, but mostly one on one based study, such as outcome of giving estrogen to one person. Today, I would like to talk about how climacteric period symptoms are related with food.
Symptoms in climatic period are caused by decrease of estrogen. Estrogen and anther female hormone called progesterone together create female sex cycle, but when this decreases, the body "creaks" just like a car with oil run out. "Creaking" in this case means becoming weak against stress, physically, and mentally.
When the body creaks, you can have knee pain, migraine, cold sweat, and hot flush. Hot flush is the symptom repeating sweating cold sweat right after feeling flush.
While you have plenty of estrogen, lipid going into the body, such as cholesterol or neutral fat is hard to become oxidized. But along with estrogen decrease, the lipid in blood going through the body can become oxidized more easily. This created oxidized cholesterol to make it easier for male-pattern hardened arteries to occur.
You can see this is the age when women can get male-pattern life style related sicknesses such as hardened arteries or subarachnoid hemorrhage. They are less likely to occur before the climatic period.
If you have a mix of cold body temperature tendency and climacteric age, your immune system rapidly becomes weak. There are more incidences of uterus cancer and breast cancer at this period. In that sense, getting over climacteric period can be a big issue.
How to deal with the issue has been understood and treated well for a long time in Eastern medicine,
Let me explain this a little further. In an old Eastern medicine book called " Su Wen ", it is described that the most important organs for females are kidney and bladder.
Because kidney and bladder are very sensitive to coldness, the symptoms in the organs are related with water. For example, problems are more likely to occur when drinking too much water, especially cold one. As for the season, people are more likely to have symptoms in winter. This is because the organs are related with coldness.
Many people in younger generation wear clothes to show their bellies, but this makes kidney and bladder related organs very weak. This can cause heavier symptom in their climacteric age.
The book also says that kidney and bladder are related with color of black. It teaches that eating food with black color regularly improves the function of these organs. Out of five grain, beans are the most recommended. That is why black soybeans are highly recommended.
Now, you may be surprised the story of Eastern medicine breaks down to as simple as black soybeans. Exactly. You may know that black soybeans contain isoflavone that has similar function as female hormone, but it also contains anthocyanin, highly anti-oxidant substance. Anti-oxidant means preventing the body from getting "rusty", Anthocyanin is the dark pigment in food. It looks purple or black. Besides black soybeans, blueberries, known to be good for eye fatigue are also known to contain anthocyanin.
Eating the beans is the most important key for women to get over their climacteric period. One more thing is salt. Eastern medicine recommends eating the best salt possible. You might not be familiar with the idea of bad salt and good salt. When I say " bad salt", it is the kind of salt too refined and all the minerals are gone. Salt made of Nacl alone is no recommended.
What is "good salt" then? I recommend rock salt or solar salt. Solar salt was traditional salt in Japan, made by drying seawater by the sea. Good salt contains 90% of Nacl and the rest of 10 % is ultra trace minerals such as magnesium, iron, copper, selenium and so on. Eastern medicine teaches the importance of taking food with trace minerals. This is what nourishes kidney and bladder related organs. History has shown us that nourishing those organs is highly beneficial in warming up the body, as you can gain more resistance against cold weather.
From 1990s, symptoms related with climacteric period have become excessively severe in developed countries, and there are more data on the issue in relation with isoflavone in international academy.
